Care and Maintenance of Butterfly Locs
Keep the oil on your hands and massage your scalp and make sure it is clean and moisturized. You can wash it but not like a “REAL WASH”.
Use mousse to refresh the looks of the locs.
Pros and Cons of Butterfly Locs
Pros: It is a low-maintenance type of hairstyle
It is so natural looking and people might think you have kept your hair to have locs.
It is a protective hairstyle. It keeps the ends of the hair tucked away and minimizes manipulation.
It gives the ends of our hair a break from nasty weather conditions.
It is extremely versatile and can be styled in so many ways.
Some ladies I interviewed argued that it is lightweight. (Let us know your thought in the comment box)
Cons: If it is not installed well just like other locs, it won’t last long. This is because the installed locs will start to fall out.
If you are not a fan of staying in the hair salon for a long time, you might want to ignore this cute hairstyle.
Installing butterfly locs is a long and tedious process. (4-6 hours on an average basis). But I can tell you that it is worth it.
